Stanley Public Library’s summer reading program, Oceans of Possibilities, was held Thursday, June 16 at the library. Fish with titles of books the children read were hung on the fishing line. Pirate stories were read and children learned to speak “pirate.” A pirate scavenger hunt was held throughout the library and children received pirate tattoos upon completion. The children also made a pirate spyglass to wrap up the day. Prizes and treats were handed out and the winners of the free book drawing were Berkley Schepp and Omni Roise. Children are encouraged to read 10-30 minutes as part of the program. The next day of the program will be Thursday, June 23 at 2:00.
