Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program

Stanley Public Library’s summer reading program, Oceans of Possibilities, was held Thursday, June 23 at the Stanley Public Library. Fish with titles of books the children read last week were hung on the fishing line. Stories were read and the children made jelly fish using recycled plastic cups and streamers. Children also made paper bag sea otters. The winners of a free book were Noah Kuster and Harrison Dupay. Sea life poppers and clown fish launchers were handed out as prizes and children are encouraged to read 10-30 minutes each day. The program will wrap up next Thursday, June 30 at 2 PM. Children should come early to register for prizes.
