The Friends of the Library sponsored “Blind Date with a Book” during the month of February at the Stanley Public Library. Patrons selected wrapped books from the display. The first line of each book was printed on the outside of the book. The books were returned with a “Rate Your Date” sheet, which entered the patrons in a drawing.

This year’s winner was Carol Hanson. Carol’s blind date was “Girl Most Likely,” a mystery/thriller by Max Allan Collins, which she rated three out of four hearts. Congratulations to Carol and to all patrons who took home a blind date!
