Two of Stanley’s master gardeners, Mary Domaskin and Brenda Jorgenson of the Mountrail County Garden Club, held a fun planting activity at the Stanley Public Library for students in grades K-6 on Tuesday, May 14. They aided the students through the process of planting marigold seeds in a small pot. They then showed the students how a planted seed would look once it came up and had several colors of marigolds in their final blooming stage. The students took their planted seeds home, along with a blooming marigold they repotted.
The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
