Unearth a Story, Stanley Public Library’s summer reading program, concluded on Thursday, June 25. Stories were read to the group and they completed mosaic stained glass patriotic stars. They played patriotic trivia, had a 50 states scavenger hunt and learned how to properly fold a flag. Winners of books to take home were Lynea Harwood, Jackie Kowalski, Hank Nichols, Hayes Gustafson, Gunnar Dazell, Adeline Hunt, Noah Kuster, Karsyn Gustafson, Emmy Lonier, Beckett Long, Letty Karow, Karter Kuster, Hogan Schepp, Carson Ploium, Devyn Gustafson, and Parker Haugen. The grand prize winner of a Barnes & Noble gift card was Devyn Gustafson.
Winners of prizes donated by the Friends of the Library were Karter Kuster, Sylvie Jarmin, Amelia Hunt, Benson Ploium, Ruby Evensvold, Emy Karow, Beckett Long, Devyn Gustafson, Jackie Kowalski, Letty Karow, Gunnar Dazell, Hank Nichols, Bowen Long, Kyrin Nelson, James Kuster, Dash Cossette, Hayes Gustafson, Emy Lonier, Cade Schneider, Adeline Hunt, Parker Haugen, Noah Kuster, Hogan Schepp, Liza Jarmin, Carson Ploium, Jaxton Cossette, Karsyn Gustafson, James Kuster, Makenna Evensvold, Tate Harwood, and Bode Haugen.
The summer reading program was very successful with the help of several volunteers, including teen volunteers Alexis Laparra, Erika Littlefield, Sophia Page, and Alycia Laparra.
