During December, the Stanley Public Library held a Holly Jolly Christmas Candy Contest. Students were invited to view the Santa box and guess the number of items it contained. Mya Anderson was the winner, being the closest to 433, the number of items in the box. Congratulations to Mya and to all who visited the library to enter! The contest was sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The Stanley Public Library will be closed Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1 in observance of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The library will be open Thursday, January 2 at 12:30 PM. Happy New Year!

During October, the Stanley Public Library held a Creepy Candy Contest. Students were invited to look at the giant Halloween bowl and guess the number of items it contained. Jaxon Carpenter was the winner with a guess of 304, missing the exact number by only three. Congratulations to Jaxon and all who visited the library and entered the contest.
