During December, the Stanley Public Library held a Holly Jolly Christmas Candy contest. Kids were invited to view the Santa box and guess the number of items it contained. Katy Roise was the winner with a guess of 375. The box contained 373 items. Congratulations to Katy and all who visited the library to enter! The contest was sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Creepy Candy Contest Winner
During October, the Stanley Public Library held a Creepy Candy Contest. Students were invited to look at the giant halloween bucket and guess the number of items it contained. Justin Swider was the winner with a guess of 344, missing the exact number by only 13. Congratulations to Justin and all who visited the library and entered the contest.
The contest was sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Wee Care Library Visits

The Wee Care classes visited the Stanley Public Library on Thursday, September 28. Students were give a tour of the library and had an opportunity to look at books, play with games and puzzles and listen to stories. They were given library souvenirs and treats to take home. It was a fun learning time for all!!
Reading Rock Star Winners
Students in grades K-12 were Reading Rock Stars during the month of August at the Stanley Public Library! The students checked out books, read them, filled out a rating sheet and returned them to the library for an entry into the prize drawing.
Prize winners were Cambree Pitts, Kai Anderson, Knute Roise, Mikayla Whipperman, James Kuster, Carter Olson, Omni Roise, Mya Anderson, Noah Kuster, Emmy Lonier, Dylan Olson, Bode Haugen, Emma Kannianen, Levi Addicott, Parker Haugen, Eva Anderson, Karter Kuster, Maverick Lidstrom and Greyson Addicott.
Prizes can be picked up at the library. The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Summer Fest Book Sale
Join us at the Stanley Public Library for a Summer Fest book sale Thursday, August 3 from 12:30-6:00 PM. Come and check out the great selection of books, DVDs, book bags and souvenir playing cards! A free-will cash donation will be accepted. The sale will be held inside the library and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Reading Rock Star
Be a Back-to-School Reading Rock Star at the Stanley Public Library!
Students in grades K-12 are invited to check out a library book, read it, rate it and return it to the library August 4-29 to be entered into a drawing for prizes.
The winners will be chosen on August 31. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
All Together Now Summer Reading Program













All Together Now, Stanley Public Library’s summer reading program, concluded on Thursday, June 29. Stories were read to the group. The children were divided into teams to participate in a Library Field Day, consisting of a hula hoop hustle, a human knot and an egg relay. Then each child received a flower pot, added soil and flower seeds to take home. Winners of a book to take home were Knute Roise, Wrigley Hysjulien, Laynee Littlecreek and McKenna Evensvold. The grand prize winner of a Barnes & Noble gift card was Parker Haugen.
Prize winners of pizza certificates, donated by Pinnacle, were Kai Anderson, Bjorn Biwer, Joey Kukowski, Knute Roise, Izzy Johnson, Emmy Lonier, Carson Ploium, James Kness, Rulen Hunting, Olivia Wisthoff, Alexis Laparra and Lalo Johnson. Prize winners of gift cards donated by the Friends of the Library were Bergen Biwer, Bode Haugen, Alycia Laparra, Jaxton Cossette, Mya Anderson, Sierrah Kanenwisher, Mason Otteson, Gunnar Dazell, Cade Schneider, Izzy Kukowski, Carter Olson, Eva Anderson, Laynee Littlecreek, James Kuster, Millie Kukowski, Delaney Dupay, Noah Kuster, Dash Cossette, Omni Roise, Karter Kuster, Harrison Dupay, Lynnea Harwood, Masen Hysjulien, Maverick Lidstrom, Sondra Kness, Rylee Arnold, Isabel Hurst, A.J. Hoaby, Avonlea McCarten, Evan Hunting, Beatrix Houtkooper, Parker Haugen, Axle Sandeen, Dylan Olson, Cayson Ware, Wrigley Hysjulien, Astrid Houtkooper, Harloe Hoaby, McKenna Evensvold and Bennett Sandeen.
The program was very successful with the help of several volunteers, especially the teen helpers Erika Littlefield, Alexis Laparra, Sierrah Kanenwisher, Delaney Dupay, Alycia Laparra and Peyton Lystad.
